Projector’s Project Management module is focused on helping project
managers, delivery teams, and clients successfully deliver projects on time and under budget. More
than just a simple electronic “to-do” list, Projector provides powerful yet intuitive tools to help
plan, deliver, and track projects—tools that are also fully integrated with Projector’s time and
expense management, scheduling, invoicing, and reporting modules. By helping to alleviate the burden
of manually collecting, aggregating, and analyzing the vast amounts of information most project managers
work with, Projector allows them to focus less on administrative tasks and more on what’s important to
the business: delivering projects and satisfying clients.
Detailed Task Management
Projector provides integrated task planning tools that can be used in lieu of a stand-alone project
planning application to manage projects efficiently with less administrative effort. These tools are seamlessly
integrated into Projector’s resource scheduling and time tracking features, and can be enabled or disabled for each
project. The detailed task management features allow managers to:
- Import project plans from MS Project into Projector, preserving dependencies, resource assignments, efforts, and start and end dates
- Plan projects directly within Projector
without needing MS Project by creating hierarchical task plans complete with dependencies
- Assign tasks to resources and communicate to team members what they should be working on and when
- Staff projects by easily translating task plans into resource needs and feeding those needs into Projector's scheduling
workflow
- Gather feedback on how much time team members have spent on each task, what tasks are complete, and how much effort
remains per task
- Analyze performance of projects using easily digestible visual indicators to understand performance
to budget, performance to schedule, and earned value
- Export project plans to MS Project for additional analysis, printing, or shipment to clients

Project Workspaces
Projector provides powerful collaboration tools to enable project teams and clients to work together to deliver projects on time and under budget. Each project team has its own Project Workspace, an on-line forum that provides access to critical project information and documents, that includes:
- Project Home and Team tabs that provide project overviews and contact information for team members
- An Issues tab that facilitates issue assignment, tracking, and resolution
- A Documents tab that helps project teams access and manage critical project documentation
- An Invoices tab that provides clients access to invoices and their statuses

Budget Tracking
One of the key responsibilities of Project Managers is to deliver their projects on time and under budget. Projector provides real-time information to enable managers to see how their projects are performing against budgets, both in terms of how much of the budget has been spent to date as well as how much will be spent by the end of the project. The system provides flexible budgeting mechanisms that allow budgets to be broken down by various dimensions (such as by resource or department), to be time-phased by different time periods (such as week or month), and to be measured by different metrics (such as hours or costs). Projector can even be configured to automatically send out notification e-mails when projects threaten to go over budget.
